So Tina and I went down to our car today to discover the stereo's missing. No signs of entry, the trunk was open and nothing was taken from there (only thing in there was a dirty 10gal fishtank), CDs under the seat weren't taken, nothing from the glove box. The removal of the stereo was very clean, no damage to the console, the inner frame is a little bent but that was part of the stereo so it'll be disposed of anyway.
As far as car robberies go, we got off quite lucky. The car itself is still there, there's no damage to it, just no stereo. And it was a piece of crap anyway, the CD drive wouldn't play half our CDs, it's spin for 20 seconds and say "Error 2". We used it for radio and the 3.25mm input hooked up to our ipod (which wasn't in the car). So really no big loss.
The irony is we rent a spot in the "secure garage" of the apartment complex, which has had the garage door stuck open or the last frigging week because it's broken. Honestly I doubt it made a difference as it was probably some kid in the apartment complex, but still.
