Sometimes I lament the weight of knowledge and awareness. There was a time where I drew lots of stick figures, running and jumping around the boilerplate on my notebook.
I didn't know about doing more detailed drawings, and I didn't care. I simply had fun drawing them. Sometimes ignorance really is bliss.
While none of us can go back to true naivety (and I'm aware of the irony of these thoughts coming from one as young and inexperienced as me), it can be good to sometimes step back and remind ourselves to see the simple pleasure in things, rather than seeing them for what they're lacking.
More human shapes, less naval-gazing in the next few days.
